What We Believe — and How We Work
These are not values printed on a wall. They are the principles that shape how we hire, how we build, how we sell, and how we treat our clients and each other every day at FleetFabric©.
Outcome Ownership
We hire people who take full ownership of outcomes — not just tasks. Every person at FleetFabric© is expected to understand the why behind their work and to take initiative when something needs to be done, regardless of whether it sits neatly within a job description.
Build to Last
We build software that fleet operators depend on every day to run their businesses. That demands a commitment to quality, reliability, and thoughtful engineering. We move fast — but we do not cut corners on the things that matter to our clients.
Relentless Improvement
We are never satisfied with good enough. Every process, every feature, every sales conversation, and every piece of data can be improved. We cultivate a culture of honest feedback, continuous learning, and iterative improvement at every level of the business.
Client First
Our clients are fleet managers running real businesses under real pressure. Every decision we make — in product, in sales, in support — is filtered through the question of whether it makes their lives easier, their fleets more efficient, and their operations more profitable.
Intellectual Honesty
We value people who can disagree constructively, change their minds when presented with evidence, and separate their ego from their ideas. Good decisions come from honest conversations — not from telling people what they want to hear.
Real-World Impact
FleetFabric© software is used by thousands of fleet professionals managing critical assets across South Africa every day. What we build has real consequences. That reality motivates us — and it is a standard we hold each other to with pride.

A Product Worth Working On. A Team Worth Working With.
There are a lot of software companies in South Africa. What makes FleetFabric© different as a place to build a career is the combination of a genuinely complex, high-scale product, a market position that gives us the ability to attract serious enterprise clients, and a team culture that values craft, honesty, and impact over politics and process.
For developers, FleetFabric© is a platform with real technical depth — a large, multi-tenant SaaS product processing millions of fleet data transactions every month, with a modern architecture that is still being improved and expanded. You will work on problems that are hard and consequential, not on features nobody uses.
For commercial roles, FleetFabric© offers a product that solves a genuine, costly problem for a large addressable market — which makes selling it a matter of education and demonstration rather than persuasion. Our 15-day free trial does most of the heavy lifting, and our client retention rates mean that the accounts you bring in stay and grow.
For data and analytics practitioners, we have a wealth of fleet data, a business that makes decisions based on evidence, and an ambition to build data products that differentiate our platform further. You will have the autonomy to build the data infrastructure and products that matter — not just maintain dashboards.
What Our Team Values About Working Here
- Real ownership — you own your work from conception to production, not just your assigned tickets
- Direct access to leadership — no six-layer approval chains for sensible decisions
- A product that is already winning in its market — you are building on a strong foundation
- Honest feedback culture — you will always know where you stand and how to improve
- A team of people who are serious about their craft and hold each other to a high standard
- The satisfaction of building software that real people use to run real businesses every day
Our Hiring Process
We run a focused, respectful hiring process: application review, an initial call with your hiring manager, a role-specific assessment or technical review, and a final conversation with a cross-functional panel. We give candidates feedback at every stage — and we make decisions quickly. From application to offer, our typical process takes 10–15 business days.

FleetFabric© is looking for a driven, consultative Sales Consultant to join our commercial team. You will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through to demo, proposal, and close — bringing new fleet operator accounts onto the FleetFabric© platform across South Africa.
This is a B2B SaaS sales role in a market that is actively looking for the solution we offer. Our 15-day free trial dramatically shortens the sales cycle and our client retention rates mean your book of business compounds over time. You will be selling to fleet managers, operations directors, CFOs, and procurement teams in businesses ranging from 20 to 2 000 vehicles.
What You Will Do
- Manage a full outbound and inbound sales pipeline from first contact to signed contract
- Conduct product demonstrations tailored to each prospect's specific fleet challenges and operational context
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across target accounts — fleet managers, CFOs, and procurement leads
- Develop and execute account plans for high-value target organisations in logistics, government, mining, agriculture, and corporate sectors
- Collaborate with the marketing team on lead generation campaigns, events, and content that support pipeline development
- Accurately forecast pipeline and revenue on a weekly basis using our CRM — and deliver against your forecasts
- Represent FleetFabric© at industry events, trade shows, and client engagements across South Africa
What You Bring
- 3+ years of B2B SaaS or technology sales experience with a demonstrable track record of hitting quota
- Experience selling to mid-market and enterprise clients — comfortable navigating multi-stakeholder sales processes
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to articulate ROI and business value clearly and convincingly
- Excellent presentation and communication skills — written and verbal
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and disciplined pipeline management habits
- Experience in fleet management, logistics, transport, or asset management software is a strong advantage — but not a requirement
- Self-directed and comfortable working in a remote, high-autonomy environment
Remuneration
- Competitive base salary (market-benchmarked) + uncapped commission structure
- On-target earnings (OTE) significantly above base for quota-attaining performers
- Medical aid, provident fund, learning budget & 25 days annual leave
We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer to join the FleetFabric© engineering team. You will contribute to the development and improvement of our core fleet management platform — a large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS application used by fleet operators and managers across South Africa every day.
This is a role for a developer who takes pride in their craft, cares deeply about code quality and system reliability, and wants to work on problems that are genuinely complex and consequential. You will have full ownership of the features and services you build — from requirements and architecture discussions through to deployment and production monitoring.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain features across the full FleetFabric© platform stack — front-end, back-end, and API layers
- Contribute to architecture decisions, technical design reviews, and code quality standards across the engineering team
- Build and maintain RESTful API endpoints and integrations with third-party systems including telematics platforms, ERP systems, and fuel card providers
- Write clean, tested, well-documented code with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability at enterprise scale
- Participate actively in sprint planning, retrospectives, and technical debt management discussions
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and data teams to deliver features that are technically excellent and genuinely useful
Tech Stack & Environment
- Back-end: Python / Django or Node.js / Express (experience in either; both is ideal)
- Front-end: React.js with TypeScript — component-based, state-managed, responsive
- Database: PostgreSQL (primary), Redis (caching & queues)
- Infrastructure: AWS / GCP — containerised deployments via Docker and Kubernetes
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions — automated testing, staging deployments, and production releases
- API: RESTful with OpenAPI/Swagger documentation; webhook infrastructure for real-time events
What You Bring
- 4+ years of full stack development experience on production SaaS or enterprise applications
- Strong proficiency in at least one back-end language (Python preferred) and React.js on the front-end
- Solid understanding of relational database design, query optimisation, and data modelling at scale
- Experience with RESTful API design and implementation — including authentication, versioning, and documentation
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
- A demonstrable commitment to code quality — testing practices, code review culture, and technical documentation
- Experience in multi-tenant SaaS architecture is a strong advantage
Remuneration
- Competitive salary benchmarked against South African senior developer market rates
- Equity participation for strong performers after 12 months
- Hardware allowance, learning budget, medical aid, provident fund & 25 days leave
FleetFabric© is looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that powers our analytics, reporting, and machine learning capabilities. You will be responsible for the pipelines, warehouses, and data models that transform raw fleet data into reliable, accessible, and well-governed data products.
FleetFabric© processes a large volume and variety of fleet data every day — vehicle telemetry, maintenance records, fuel transactions, driver events, financial transactions, and compliance documents. The Data Engineer role is central to our ability to derive insight from this data at scale and to build the next generation of intelligent fleet management features on top of it.
What You Will Do
- Design and build scalable, reliable data pipelines that ingest, transform, and load fleet data from multiple sources into our data warehouse
- Architect and maintain our data warehouse schema — ensuring it is optimised for analytical querying, well-documented, and consistently governed
- Build and maintain dbt transformation models that provide clean, tested, and semantically meaningful data layers for analytics and reporting consumers
- Implement data quality frameworks — automated testing, monitoring, and alerting for data pipeline health and data accuracy
- Collaborate with the analytics, product, and engineering teams to understand data requirements and translate them into robust, reusable data models
- Build and maintain real-time streaming data pipelines for time-sensitive fleet event processing using Kafka or similar tooling
- Champion data governance practices — lineage documentation, access controls, PII handling, and data retention policies
Tech Stack & Environment
- Data warehouse: BigQuery / Snowflake
- Transformation: dbt (data build tool) — models, tests, and documentation
- Orchestration: Apache Airflow / Prefect
- Streaming: Apache Kafka / Google Pub/Sub
- Languages: Python (primary), SQL (advanced)
- Cloud: GCP / AWS — storage, compute, and managed data services
- Version control & CI/CD: GitHub, GitHub Actions
What You Bring
- 3+ years of data engineering experience building production-grade pipelines and data warehouses
- Advanced SQL skills — complex queries, window functions, query optimisation, and schema design
- Strong Python skills for pipeline development, data transformation, and automation
- Hands-on experience with dbt and a modern data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift)
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of data modelling principles — star schema, dimensional modelling, and data vault concepts
- Experience with streaming data architectures is a significant advantage
Remuneration
- Competitive salary benchmarked to South African data engineering market rates
- Equity participation available for strong performers
- Learning budget (certifications, courses, conferences), hardware allowance, medical aid & provident fund
We are looking for a Data Analytics & Science Engineer who sits at the intersection of analytical insight and production-grade data science. You will design and build the analytical models, dashboards, and predictive features that make FleetFabric© the most intelligent fleet management platform in South Africa — translating complex fleet data into actionable insight for our clients and into product features that differentiate our platform.
This is not a pure analytics role or a pure data science role — it is both. You will conduct exploratory analysis to generate product insights, build statistical and ML models that power platform features, and work closely with the engineering team to deploy those models into production. You need to be as comfortable in a SQL query window and a BI tool as you are in a Jupyter notebook.
What You Will Do
- Conduct exploratory data analysis on fleet datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for product insight and client value
- Design and build predictive models — vehicle failure prediction, fuel anomaly detection, service interval optimisation, and driver risk scoring
- Work with the engineering team to deploy ML models into the FleetFabric© production platform as scalable, maintainable model services
- Build and maintain internal analytics dashboards and reporting infrastructure that supports business decisions across product, commercial, and operations teams
- Define, track, and interpret key product and business metrics — providing analytical context for strategic decisions at leadership level
- Conduct A/B tests and experiment analyses on product features — designing experiments with rigorous statistical methodology and interpreting results clearly
- Collaborate with the product team to translate analytical findings into product requirements and roadmap priorities
Tech Stack & Environment
- Analysis & modelling: Python (pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, statsmodels, PyTorch)
- SQL: Advanced — BigQuery / Snowflake primary environment
- Visualisation: Looker / Metabase / Power BI — dashboard development and self-service analytics
- ML Ops: MLflow for experiment tracking; model deployment via REST API endpoints on GCP/AWS
- Version control: GitHub — all analytical code reviewed and version-controlled
- Collaboration: dbt for shared semantic layer; Jupyter / VS Code for development
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in a data science, analytics engineering, or quantitative analyst role in a production data environment
- Strong Python skills for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning model development
- Advanced SQL — capable of writing complex analytical queries, window functions, and data transformations at scale
- Hands-on experience building and deploying ML models in a production environment — not just in notebooks
- Experience with BI tools (Looker, Metabase, Power BI, or Tableau) and a track record of building dashboards that drive decisions
- Strong statistical foundations — hypothesis testing, regression, time series, and probabilistic modelling
- The ability to communicate complex analytical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders is essential
Remuneration
- Competitive salary benchmarked to South African data science and analytics market rates
- Equity participation available
- Learning budget, hardware allowance, medical aid, provident fund & 25 days leave

You will be responsible for driving qualified pipeline into our sales team, building FleetFabric©'s brand authority in the South African fleet management market, and creating the content and campaigns that attract, educate, and convert fleet management prospects.

You will work closely with the sales team to ensure marketing activity directly supports commercial outcomes, and with product to communicate platform developments to the market effectively.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute an integrated B2B marketing strategy that builds brand authority and generates measurable, qualified pipeline for the sales team
- Own the FleetFabric© content marketing programme — blog posts, landing pages, case studies, white papers, and email campaigns — with a focus on SEO performance and lead generation

- Own the FleetFabric© SEO strategy — keyword research, on-page optimisation, technical SEO, and link building — with a focus on growing organic traffic and lead volume
- Build and manage email marketing programmes for lead nurture, product announcements, and client communication — using HubSpot or equivalent
- Plan and execute FleetFabric©'s presence at industry events, trade shows, and webinars — including logistics, creative, and post-event follow-up campaigns
- Track, measure, and report on marketing performance — CAC, pipeline contribution, conversion rates, and channel ROI — with a data-driven approach to continuous optimisation
What You Bring
- 4+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in SaaS, technology, or a fleet/transport/logistics-adjacent industry
- Demonstrated experience owning SEO strategy and content marketing programmes that have driven measurable organic growth
- Hands-on experience managing paid digital campaigns on Google Ads and LinkedIn with real budget responsibility
- Strong copywriting skills — you write clear, compelling, commercially-minded content without needing significant editorial oversight
- Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) — including workflow setup, lead scoring, and attribution reporting
- Analytical mindset — comfortable in Google Analytics, Search Console, and campaign reporting tools, and capable of drawing actionable conclusions from marketing data
- A track record of generating pipeline and demonstrating the commercial impact of marketing activity
Remuneration
- Competitive salary benchmarked to South African B2B marketing market rates
- Performance bonus linked to pipeline and lead generation targets
- Marketing tool and event budget, learning allowance, medical aid, provident fund & 25 days leave
Careers at FleetFabric© — Common Questions
Are all roles fully remote?
Yes. All current open positions are remote-first. We have team members across South Africa and do not require relocation. We hold regular team collaboration sessions in person — typically quarterly — and these are fully expensed. Some client-facing roles (Sales Consultant, Marketing Consultant) may involve travel to client sites and industry events within South Africa.
What does the hiring process look like?
Our hiring process is: (1) Application review — we aim to respond to all applications within 3 business days. (2) Initial call — a 30-minute conversation with your hiring manager to discuss the role and your background. (3) Role assessment — a practical task or technical review relevant to the position (shared in advance with clear time guidance). (4) Final panel — a 60-minute conversation with a cross-functional team including your potential manager and a peer. From application to offer, we target 10–15 business days.
Do you consider candidates without a degree?
Yes. We evaluate all candidates on the basis of demonstrated skill, portfolio quality, relevant experience, and potential — not on formal qualifications alone. For technical roles, a strong GitHub portfolio or demonstrable project history carries significant weight. We encourage applications from candidates who have built their skills through self-directed learning, bootcamps, or non-traditional pathways.
Is FleetFabric© open to candidates based outside South Africa?
Our current open positions are targeted at South Africa-based candidates, as the roles require South African market context (sales, marketing) or operate within South African time zones (engineering, data). We are open to discussing international candidates for specialist technical roles where South African market knowledge is not a primary requirement — contact us to discuss.
How do I apply if I do not see a suitable role?
Send your CV and a short note about the type of role you are looking for and what you bring to careers@fleetfabric.co.za. We review speculative applications regularly and will reach out if a relevant opportunity arises — either immediately or when a new role opens. We keep all applications on file for 12 months.
